The hit show from September is coming back for a late night run!
In our yearly tradition of re-imagining literary classics, Chicago dell'Arte brings you Commedia King John as we tackle one of Shakespeare's oft-misunderstood, yet rarely read plays. When Dottore's niece comes to him wanting to know about the Magna Carta, Dottore, knowing only that the Magna Carta was signed by King John, thinks the best way to teach her is through telling her the story Shakespeare's King John. Tomfoolery and hijinks ensue and the other Commedia denizens of San Irreal are enlisted to help tell the story in the only way they can: with high energy and low comprehension.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays from November 9 to December 15 at 10 pm at The Den Theatre (1333 N. Milwaukee Ave, 2nd Floor). Tickets are $10 for general admission.
